Both sets of Anthony Raczkiewicz’ third great grandparents were from Majdan Górny. For instance, in 1778 Jan Raczkiewicz (my 4x great grandfather) was born there and was still living there in 1824 when he married Apolonia Golebiowska. Tomasz Dominik and Regina Wójcik (my other 4x great grandparents on this side of the family) were also from Majdan Górny. It appears that they had moved to nearby Sabaudia by 1864 when the father of Anthony (my grandfather) Jan was born. Sabaudia is a village that is about five miles from Majdan Górny .
